Im Zeitengetriebe (The Mechanisms of Time).
Eduard Erdmann and His Berlin Circle
The Akademie der Künste maintains the artistic estate of the pianist and composer Eduard Erdmann (1896-1958). The symposium, in cooperation with the Eduard-Erdmann-Gesellschaft, takes a look at Eduard Erdmann and his artistic contemporaries in Berlin in the 1920s. A musical high point of the event is the concert performance of Erdmann’s operetta Die entsprungene Insel from 1925 (with its premiere performance in Berlin).
